GOLF COURSE MARSHAL

Position: Golf Course Ranger / Player Services
Employment Type: Part-Time / Seasonal beginning in Spring 2027 (interviews and hiring to occur in Fall 2026).

Position Overview

Breakfast Hill Golf Club is seeking friendly, dependable, and customer-service oriented Golf Course Marshals to help maintain and enjoyable experience for all golfers.  The Marshal will monitor the Golf Course, assist with pace-of-play, wash golf carts, and help keep the driving range clean and organized.  The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable interacting with members and guests, and understands the importance of providing excellent service while maintaining course standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Marshal the golf course and monitor pace of play to help ensure golfers maintain an appropriate pace-of-play.
• Communicate courteously with golfers regarding pace of play, course policies, cart rules, and other club guidelines.
• Assist golfers with questions, directions, and general course information.
• Monitor the course for safety, proper cart usage, and appropriate player conduct.
• Wash, clean, and organize golf carts throughout the day.
• Ensure carts are properly staged, fueled/charged, and ready for use.
• Pick the driving range regularly, collecting golf balls and returning them to the appropriate area.
• Keep the driving range, cart staging areas, and other player-service areas clean and organized.
• Assist with maintaining an adequate supply of range balls.
• Report course conditions, damaged carts, equipment issues, and other maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with tournaments, outings, and special events as needed.
• Provide a welcoming and professional presence throughout the golf course.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous golf course, hospitality, customer service, or similar experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of golf and basic golf etiquette preferred.
• Friendly, professional, and approachable personality.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift golf bags or range equipment as needed.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must be dependable and punctual.

GOLF SHOP ATTENDANT

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Golf Shop Attendant to join our golf operations team. The Golf Shop Attendant will assist members and guests, support daily golf shop operations, and help ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience from the moment golfers arrive.

The ideal candidate enjoys golf, working with people, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist golfers with questions and requests.
• Assist with tee-time check-in and golfer registration.
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling or confirming tee times.
• Operate the golf shop point-of-sale system and accurately process transactions.
• Assist with sales of golf apparel, equipment, accessories, merchandise, and other golf shop products.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and attractive golf shop.
• Restock merchandise and assist with inventory organization.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for the golf shop.
• Prepare and organize golf carts, pull carts, and other player-service areas as needed.
• Assist members and guests with golf club and equipment inquiries.
• Help coordinate member events, tournaments, and outings.
• Communicate course conditions, policies, and daily golf operations information to members and guests.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Professional or management team.

Qualifications

• Previous golf shop, retail, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge and interest in golf strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional, and approachable personality.
• Comfortable operating a point-of-sale system and handling cash/credit transactions.  Knowledge of any Golfnow point-of-sale system is desired.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in an active golf course environment.
